Overview

St. Luke's Health System in Boise, ID is seeking a Sales Representative to join our Health Plan team.

 

The Sales Representative is responsible for execution on the organizations sales strategy to increase the Health Plan client partnerships. This role is responsible for representing the Health Plan in the marketplace, establishing direct relationships with major purchasers, and providing sales and services to the end client through appropriate channels.

  • Executes the sales plan strategy to grow the Health Plan products' sales, taking into consideration broker relationships, growth strategies, competitive intel, local trends, and core product strategies.
  • Acts as the principal point of contact between a business the Health Plan and its prospective customers and brokers.
  • Responsible for initiating and managing broker and prospective client relationships serving as the point of contact from initial outreach through the sale and during the transition to the Account Management team.
  • Maintains deep knowledge of the Health Plans products and offerings.
  • Keeps current with industry trends and market demands, providing front-line feedback to leadership and the Health Plan product team.
  • Negotiates contract terms with the broker and/or prospective client.
  • Supports the development and execution of the client plans to grow the portfolio via additional lines of business, cross-sell of product lines, upselling, and driving member growth. Drives increased utilization across all lines of business.
  • Exhibits a deep understanding of the Health Plans landscape, including cost containment strategies, engagement, utilization, client requirements, market drivers, and buying cycles.
  • Manages all complex internal and external interactions related to the clients, ensuring the best interest of the client and Health Plan.
  • Identifies and recommends opportunities where the Health Plan can increase its presence, including but not limited to potential partnerships, new markets, and/or methods to enhance efficiency within the organization's sales and marketing departments. In collaboration with internal stakeholders, provides recommendations based on market research and client/customer profiles, to expand market reach.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders on purchaser needs to create tailored solutions that meet purchaser needs, while maximizing opportunities for additional revenue and volume generation.
  • Utilizes the organization's CRM to extract and analyze progress against goals to provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

     

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree or experience in lieu of degree

Experience: 5 years relevant experience

Licenses/Certifications: Insurance Producers License in State of practice
